Description Liquid Burnish Gold 32% This is a beautiful liquid semi matt (satin) gold with a yellow shade that should be burnished after firing. You can apply this gold over porcelain and bone china. This gold should be stirred thoroughly with a glass stir rod before using. A dedicated fine quality brush is always recommended (it must be new to start) After firing the surface of the gold looks matt and light brown: it has to be burnished/polished carefully to achieve a nice rich-looking golden surface. For the burnishing process the following possibilities are suitable: burnish sand, burnish pen or a burnishing tool. The polishing must be done very carefully without too strong pressure to avoid scratching of the gold surface. Do not use abrasive household cleaning materials or steel wool – they will destroy the surface. Store in a dry and cool place, in tightly closed and away from sunlight. Firing range: 1436/1549°F – 780/850°C Cone .017/.015 Each kiln fires differently – so test fire all golds before applying on special pieces. Allow good ventilation in the workplace and in the kiln.
