BOA MAMBELI SHORTSWORD Congo / early 20th Century A vintage shortsword from the region of present DRC known as ‘boa’ or ‘mambeli’. The wooden handle is decorated with brass wiring. The large and strong steel blade is double-edged. The sword is in good antique condition with small signs of wear. The handle is missing a small amount of the brass wiring.
